Palamos is an enjoyable  seaside resort on the north-east coast of Spain. This small town is situated near Sant Antoni de Calonge. Like many other harbour towns, this seaside resort originally was a fishing village. Nowadays the fishing boats are sill daily departing from (and returning to) the fishing harbour.  Palamos is famous for its gambas. It is said that these gambas are the best shrimps on the Costa Brava. The bays Platja de Castell, La Fosca and especially the Cala Estreta are (also) downright beautiful.

At the beautiful large bay with its fine sandy beach, modern hotels, beach bars and restaurants are located. There is also a marina called ‘Las Marinas’ , where you can admire luxury yachts and visit cosy little restaurants. Palamos is offering a generous choice  of good sea food  restaurants,  tapas bars, and enjoyable terraces. The kitchen is typical for this region, offering  a lot of fish and other seafood.Every  Tuesday a weekly consumers market is being held in the center of Palamos.

Palamos has also a lot to offer in the field of sports, such as sailing and  other water sport activities , boat and bicycle rental,  playing tennis, carting and even much more. During the summer season beach activities like aerobics, soccer games  etc. are being organized. All in all, Palamos is a pleasant  seaside resort, where you can go and start enjoying  a wonderful  beach holiday.
